Water Cooler Spigot sources

Question:
I am looking for old or even newer spigot for several water juggs. Rob Mathias (good friend of mine) told me to talk with the fellow at Larry’s Juggs. But the site sends me here. Is there anywhere I can get some old or new either: ceramic, porceilin (however), brass or chrome spigots for a water jug? Are the holes standard on most water jugs? Thanking you in advance, Doug

4 gallon crock and 5 gallon jug

Question:
I have two nice RedWing vessels. One is a 4 gal crock with handles. The other is a 5 gallon jug. Both have no cracks or chips. Both only have the number and the Red Wing on the sides. They both have a smooth glaze. I do not have a picture to send but they are both in very good condition. Any idea you can provide will help me decide if I should keep them in the family or sell them. Thank you. Phillip

Albany Slip Jug – Bros. Akron, OH

Question:
Hi Al, Here is a close up of the handle on my large Albany slip jug. (The last picture I sent wasn’t very helpful with identification!) The smaller jug I have is almost identical. I was able to make out some of the raised writing around the top of the jug. It looks like "Bros. Akron, OH." and some numbers. I can’t make out the name before Bros. but I’m assuming the reference to a company in Ohio rules out Red Wing. Sandy

3 gallon salt glaze jar

Question:
I have included a couple of pictures of a crock that belongs to my mom. She bought it 42 years ago in Bloomington, Indiana at an antique store. She says it was "old" when she purchased it. We think it might have the "bee sting" decoration on the front but other than that we are clueless. We would love to know more about this interesting piece of pottery, including what you think it might be worth. Thank you for your time. Susan

PS – there are no imprints or manufacturers marks on it as far as we can see.

Albany Slip jug and “Red, White, and Blue Apple Cider” Jug

Question:
I have two brown stoneware jugs with no information on their origin. The smaller of the two has some raised writing around the top that I can’t make out. The larger jug doesn’t have any markings. I got these because they are similar in color and form and I liked the way they look together. I would love to have info on whether they might be Red Wing? Or any other pottery you’re familiar with? I apologize for the darkness of the pictures. The dark color of the jugs soaked up the color. Thanks, Sandy

P.S. I came across a white stoneware jug that advertised (in blue lettering) "Red, White, and Blue Apple Cider" from Baldwin, GA. The top was unglazed and rough while the bottom portion was glazed. Does this sound familiar? Sorry I don’t have pics, but I passed this one up and didn’t purchase it.
