Question:
Hi Al, Here is a close up of the handle on my large Albany slip jug. (The last picture I sent wasn’t very helpful with identification!) The smaller jug I have is almost identical. I was able to make out some of the raised writing around the top of the jug. It looks like "Bros. Akron, OH." and some numbers. I can’t make out the name before Bros. but I’m assuming the reference to a company in Ohio rules out Red Wing. Sandy

Answer: Sandy, you are correct in your statement that "Bros. Akron, OH" rules out Red Wing. Also, the handle where it attaches to the jug is not a trade mark of Red Wing either. So it is most likely that both of your jugs were Ohio pieces. Al Kohlman
