Question:
Hello; I came across a ceramic grey color, Has the number 6 on and below a wing and below that an oval seal. In the seal is Red Wing under scored or a line then it has Union Stoneware Co.and under that Red Wing, Minn. It has no cracks that I can see. It is 14 1/2"tall and has an opening of 12". I don’t have a way as of yet to get a picture of it. Would you be able to tell me if it is a Red Wing? Thanks Karin

Answer: Karin, with the information you gave me, your 6 gallon Red Wing crock is for real. It was most likely manufactured between 1917 & before 1930. Al Kohlman
