Question:
I received this crock from my Grandma as a gift a few months ago and I am curious about the history and value of this 1 gallon crock. There are no markings on the outside of the crock, however on the bottom there is a Minnesota Stoneware Co, Red Wing Minn identification pressing. Also the interior is dark brown, almost black and there are some drippings on the rim. It has no cracks, but it does have some very minor chipping. Any information about the details of this crock would be very appreciated. Thank you very much. Jesse

I have this cow and calf figurine and am wondering if it is Redwing. I saw a double one in the antique weekly that looks simular. It is 5" tall 3 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" tall. No mark on the bottom. In very good condition except for one horn is gone. Color is a deep browm . I was wondering if it is a redwing figurine ,if it has any value with the horn gone? I have a Red Wing #3 crock that has the #3, birchleaves and the union stoneware oval on the front, but also has the Red Wing identification in the mold on the bottom of the crock. I didn’t see one on ebay that was marked in both places. I am hoping this is not a fake. Did they mark them with the birch leaves and also on the bottom? Thanks. John

I just purchased this Ice Water crock and was wondering how much part of the word ICE not being stamped would reduce its value. We have purchased an old 8 gal School house water cooler at an auction. It has the drinking fountain which is porcelain. It has a small 8 and small wing in the oval it says Red Wing then below it says Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing, Minn. It has a lid with alot of damage on one side and a crack in the bottom.
