I have a Red Wing #3 crock that has the #3, birchleaves and the union stoneware oval on the front, but also has the Red Wing identification in the mold on the bottom of the crock. I didn’t see one on ebay that was marked in both places. I am hoping this is not a fake. Did they mark them with the birch leaves and also on the bottom? Thanks. John

Answer: John, your 3 gallon Red Wing crock with the birch leaves and bottom signed is not a fake. Finding these bottom signed crocks are much more difficult then finding those not signed. These bottom signed crocks have a greater value and are more attractive to collectors than those not signed. Nice find. Al Kohlman
