hello: I just acquired a 2 gal.crock with lid. NO oval or impressed markings but a curly, fancy "2" and birchleaves on the side in blue; they appear to be stencilled (?). the lid is button,petal, but with NO number. is it original to this crock or was it intended for a water cooler as someone has suggested. and how old might the crock be and why doesn’t it have an oval or other markings like all the ones I’ve seen? also,value please. thanks.

Question:
I have found a 6 gallon crock with two pieces broken out of it and many cracks. I have one of the pieces. Because the front is not damaged I would like to glue the piece back in. I was wondering how to do that, and is there a way to put some sort of glaze over the whole thing to protect the cracks from getting worse? I am sending pictures.
