I just purchased this Ice Water crock and was wondering how much part of the word ICE not being stamped would reduce its value. It doesn’t have and cracks, just 1 very small chip at the very top just above the 5 as you can see in the picture. What would it’s value be with the 6 inch wing. Thanks, Chris

Answer: Chris, the balance of the markings, how well stamped (cleared the better) and the darkness of the stamps (darker the better) will all affect the value. If all three of these areas are perfect along with a mint piece, it is not uncommon to go over book value. You Ice Water with the somewhat weak marked 5 and part of the Ice missing should carry a value of $600 to $700. Al Kohlman
