I aquired these two pieces at an auction on Saturday. I paid $55 total for the both of them. The 4 gallon crock has no markings saying it is a Red Wing, but the 2 gallon does as you can see. The 4 gallon as some cracks but the 2 gallon is immaculate. Can you give me an idea on age and value? I really just needed the 4 gallon to put magazines in! The 2 gallon is empty so far. Thank you!

I AM ASKING ABOUT THE PIECE THAT I HAVE PICTURED. IT IS A STONEWARE COOKIE JAR THAT MEASURES 8 INCHES TALL AND 8 INCHES ACROSS. IT IS BROWN CLAY WITH WHITE GLAZE INSIDE. THE BOTTOM IS UNGLAZED AND MARKED WITH AND INK STAMP "RED WING ART POTTERY" IN A CIRCLE. THIS IS STONEWARE AND NOT POTTERY. THE LID IS CRACKED. Question:
Hi, I have a 15 gallon crock it measures 18.5" tall, and 17.5" wide across the top. It has a few hairline cracks, and a nick next to the 15 mark. It does seem solid. It has a big red wing underneath the 15, and below the 15 is an oval that measures 2" wide, and about 1.5" tall. It says Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. inside the oval. There is also a wooden lid that seems to have shrunk, and doesn’t fit the top it just slides down inside. It belonged to my Grandma, and she used to make pickles in it. Can you give me an approximate value?

Question:
Hello, I have a question about the Red Wing chicken waterer. My husband came home with a 2 gallon waterer. this is the kind that lays on its side with legs on the bottom to tilt the waterer. It has a slit in the front for the chickens to drink from. I have seen a lot of chicken waterers and have not seen one this big before. Are they common? Can you tell me what a value for this would be? It does have a small chip on one of the legs but otherwise is in great condition. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. I’ve had this churn for about 40 years. I don’t know much about it. (At one time it was used as a planter and as the plant "out grew" its owners it was passed from household to household until ended up in at my mother’s house. When the plant died, she stuck the churn in her cellar where I found it, cleaned the dirt our and used in for a waste basket until I got married. Its had a place of honor in the ocrner of our kitchen ever since. When I found your site, I thought it could be Red Wing. Its 15 inches high, about 9 inches across at the top, and after owning it for 40 years I noticed tonight that it looks like there is a 4 (as in 4 gal,) above the swirling design on the front. Is it Red Wing? Can you estimate the value (there are no chips or cracks in it.) I tried to attach two picturesif they don’t both come through, the inside has avery dark brown glaze, the outside is "salt glazed" I believe
