I have been cleaning out an old barn for a friend and we found these old stonewear salt feeders. several are: Ideal Salt Feeder model "C" F.H.Ahlman’s Patent 1909244 MFG by Ideal Equipmet Co. Morriston, MINN the others are: Hudson Salt Cup and Mineral Feeder H.D. Hudson MFG. Co. They are in excellent condition witn no chips,crackes or anything and the mounting bands are with them. I have my grandmother’s cookie jar, I would really like to find out some information about it! I believe that it is Red Wing pottery from about 1930′s (I found the logo in a book and it said it was 1930′s logo. ???) If is blue and white (or grey and yellow), round with a flat bottom, and a fitted lid. The design is burlap texture with cat tails and the word Cookies on it. The logo on the bottom is real light, and I think that it says Red Wing Pottery with a number in the middle. I am going to inclue a picture or two. Please let me know what you can about it. Question:
I recently acquired a Red Wing crock which says 20 lbs. in a 2"x 5" blue box. The crock is 7 1/2" tall and not quite 11 1/2" across. The red wing is 2 1/2" and is quite light in color. I see no cracks or even obvious wear on it. The glaze is grey-beige. Can you give me an approximate value? Thank you.
