50 gallon Red Wing Crock

Question:
This 50 gal crock was used to cure meat in a No Dak farm house before REA. It has no cracks or chips. We want to sell it. What is the approx value and how should it be sold to insure maximum return? Delivering the crock to Red Wing, to a sale or dealer, is not a problem for us.

I have a Redwing Stoneware Co. jug, with a 5 on the front. It is about a foot and a half tall and a foot diameter on the base. I have had this for a long time. Wondering what the pricing on it would be estimated at? If needed, I can send a picture. Thanks.

6gallon Brich Leaf crock

Question:
We have a #6 stoneware crock with 2 connected leaves labeled Union Stoneware Co Red Wing Minn in an oval medallion under the leaves. It has no cover and no other marking but is in perfect condition. The color of the leaves is light to medium blue (not the dark blue I have seen online). We inherited it and have no idea about the age or value but would love to know whatever you can tell us about it. Thank you. Paula

PS It has what you have marked as the "Union oval"

Round Red Wing Union Stoneware mark

Question:
Hi Al, What can you tell me about the round oval like the one pictured. I am assuming there are rarer than your standard oval. I don’t run into them too often. Was it used for certain years? I have only seen them on crocks with a 2" wing, so are they not as old? Were they used on more than just crocks, like jugs and churns? Thanks, Chris
