hi! I just received a bunch of jugs (some are all brown and some are half brown and half crock colored) and a couple of bean pots, teapot and a pitcher from my mother. she says that they are all Red Wing but some of them are not marked at all and other ones that don’t have an obvious stamp on them have a maple leaf on the bottom and one has a star on the bottom. Are these Red Wing as well? I also have a mini jug that says Potter’s Excursion, June 11th, 1915, Red Wing to St. Paul with a black ink circular stamp on the bottom that says "falconer stoneware Red Wing" is this old or a re issue? I have a ton of pictures but didn’t want to overwhelm you with them unless you think that you need to see any of them. Thanks for your time. susie

Question:
we recently acquired an atypical five-gallom brown top, zinc-glazed shoulder jug. in size and style, it is similar to our other five gallon shoulder jug. however, it is different in that: 1) there is no wing on the jug; 2) the number "5" on the jug is not the typical red wing stamped five but rather a much smaller one-half inch tall number; and 3) the oval reads "red wing potteries, inc. red wing, minn". we have not seen a jug like this; can you shed some information on this find?

Link Link This 7 3/4" tall, 5 1/2" diameter pitcher was made in a mold I normally associate with saffron ware or sponge band pitchers. There are no markings on the bottom, only 3 stilt marks. I’d like to know the proper name for this and have any idea of a BV? I do have more pictures available. Bill

I have a redwing crock that was broken during a storm and the patio collasped. I need to find out what it was worth for insurance. I have the pieces stored in a box. It says ‘Red Wing, Union Stoneware Co, Red Wing Minn" Has a stamped red wing and also a blue ’10′ It has a rim around the top with two tunnels (?) for handles I believe. I purchased a red wing shaffron advertised pitcher , however the pitcher is not signed on the bottom as red wing. I seller wanted $125.00 because the sprout of the pitcher is chipped, otherwise the pitcher is in good condition. I paid $110.00 for the pitcher. I did not send a picture. Can you tell me if the pitcher is authentic red wing if not signed on the bottom ? Thank you for your time.

it was in my grandmothers school house in eureka mt when she started school in 1926. its 12 in. tall by 10 in. in diameter has the number 3 on the front, says water cooler in blue the red wing symbol a steel spiqgot no cracks handles are rusty but good the glaze looks fresh and shinny but i dont have the lid would like to know the value and were possibly to get a period correct lid thank you :ROD
