Albany slip churn with wood lid and dasher

Question:
Is my item a Red Wing? It was handed down to me from a grandmother who collected many different things. So I know it is old. The memo was inside of the jar when I got it but some of the letters have worn off. The plunger is 19" tall and the crock is 9" tall, the bottom is 7" across and the top lip is 6 1/2 " across. I can’t make out any identifying marks on the bottom. The note reads "ONE OF THE SCARCE ONES – A 1/4 SIZE CHURN – FROM ABOUT 1900-POSSIBLY A BIT EARLIER" At the top is the name of it but I can’t make it out. Please tell me as much as you can about it. Thanks Mary

15 gallon crock with fitting

Question:
Just acquired a large Red Wing crock and am interested in its history and use. It has a 15 on it (the 5 is in very decorative script). Below that is "the" red wing. Below the red wing, in an oval, is Red Wing (a line below that), Potteries, Inc. (a line below that)and then Redwing, Minn. Above the 15 is an opening with a fitting in it. Facing the writing on the crock, on the left and at the bottom is an opening which does not have a fitting in it. The handles are metal with wood hand holds. The color is tan/beige. Thank you. Joy

4 gallon reverse oval

Question:
I came across this piece of stoneware at a garage sale in TX about 8 years ago. I am by no means a collector, and am actually looking at selling this piece. It’s about 12 inches high, by 12 inches wide. It has a small hairline fracture, that doesn’t go all the way through the piece. It’s pictured underneath the markings. It has rusted metal handles. On the right hand side, underneath one of the handles, it says "Patented December 28 either 1916 or 1956, I think. It’s hard to read the year. On the bottom of the piece is a faded numer 14. It’s in very good condition. I appreciate any information you can give me about this piece. Hopefully I can part with it and put it in the hands of someone who truly values this type of stoneware. Thank you Michelle

2 gallon birch leave crock

Question:
I haven’t ever seen a Red Wing pot that was irregular. This old crock has two large dents in the clay. The bottom has Minnesota Stoneware Co Red Wing Minn hand written around the base. It is obviously damaged but I thought that it was a very unique piece with the flaws and purchased at an auction in Zumbrota MN for $15. Would this pot been sold this way originally or would it have gone home with one of the employees for free because of the flaws? Is it worth anything? Thanks for your time, Susie

Tan/Cream pot with 3 and flowers

Question:
While in Little Falls a friend of ours found some interesting items with a metal Detector. While homing in on a target they stumbled upon a Union Stone Company pot labled Red Wing. at the rim of the pot is a fancy hand painted number (3) three. What dose that mean? the pot is flat bottomed, 12" across, with blue flower print on a tan/cream colored peice. We would just like to know what time period this was made? because we came across and old jar as well. Thanks, Mitch

Minnesota State Fair mini jug

Question:
I am wondering if this little miniature jug I have is made by Redwing, what time period, and what it might be worth? It is about 3" high, 1 7/8" across the base and says Minnesota State Fair on the front. Has a shiny glaze, applied handle, no markings on the bottom, unglazed bottom. There is a raised "lip" all the way around the middle where the colors meet. Photos are enclosed. Thanking you in advance for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Susan Perlman
