Question:
I am wondering if this little miniature jug I have is made by Redwing, what time period, and what it might be worth? It is about 3" high, 1 7/8" across the base and says Minnesota State Fair on the front. Has a shiny glaze, applied handle, no markings on the bottom, unglazed bottom. There is a raised "lip" all the way around the middle where the colors meet. Photos are enclosed. Thanking you in advance for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Susan Perlman
Answer: Susan, the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company gave these mini jugs away as advertising for their business at the annual Minnesota State Fairs in the 1920′s and 30′s. In mint condition they have a value around $500 to $600. Al Kohlman
