3 gallon crock, salt glaze

Question:
My daughter was looking on the internet for information on crocks and came across your website. I have a crock that she thinks is a Red Wing crock. It is 10 1/2" deep, 10 1/2" across the top. The color is a tan with flecks of blue or brown all through it. The design on the front is blue and looks like a 3 with swirls below. There is some kind of black/blue drips of somethin on the front of it. It has handles on both sides. The inside is brown glazed. There are a few cracks on the sides. I bought this at a garage sale and paid $5 for it. Can you give me any information on this? Thank you Diane

Stoneware pitcher with grapes cluster with rickrack

Question:
I have a pitcher that has been in my husband’s family forever. It has a dark brown glaze with a grapes and vine pattern over waffle-like squares and rickrack trim on top and bottom. It’s 9 1/4" tall with a handle. It’s in great condition except it has a few spots where it looks like the glaze was thin or had a bubble and you can see the pottery now (see lower front in photo). Oh, and there is a star impressed on the bottom. Any info on this pitcher is appreciated. Thank you, Sandee

One of the deer is a fawn and the other is mature with antlers. There is a green glaze or paint on the inside. If you have any information on this piece we would appreciate your insight. Thank you, Katherine Rycroft
