Question:
i have a 10 gallon red wing crock with bail handles and a small wing. but the stamp looks different says "potteries inc’ in the middle line. common stamp? value with this stamp change compare to others? thanks

Answer: Your 10 gallon crock in today’s market has a value around $100. The ovals or stamps as you call them have changed through the years with your oval being one of the last ovals made. It is the potteries oval which tells me that your crock with the small wing was produced between 1936 & 1947. Your 10 gallon crock pictured here still has the 4 1/2 inch wing rather than the 2 7/8 wing. So I would guess this crock was manufactured very close to the year 1936. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
