Question:
I haven’t ever seen a Red Wing pot that was irregular. This old crock has two large dents in the clay. The bottom has Minnesota Stoneware Co Red Wing Minn hand written around the base. It is obviously damaged but I thought that it was a very unique piece with the flaws and purchased at an auction in Zumbrota MN for $15. Would this pot been sold this way originally or would it have gone home with one of the employees for free because of the flaws? Is it worth anything? Thanks for your time, Susie

Answer: Susie, this most likely was a second or an employee just took it out of the dump. With the damage, $15 is about what it is worth. Al Kohlman
