Question:
I recently acquired a Red Wing crock which says 20 lbs. in a 2"x 5" blue box. The crock is 7 1/2" tall and not quite 11 1/2" across. The red wing is 2 1/2" and is quite light in color. I see no cracks or even obvious wear on it. The glaze is grey-beige. Can you give me an approximate value? Thank you.
Answer: You have the later of the 20 pound butter crocks manufactured after 1936. Value of course is lower do to it’s age. In today’s market the value is between $400 & $600 in perfect condition. Al Kohlman
