Question:
I have a Red Wing vase numbered 1361. It is in excellent condition (green matte in color). Could you give me an estimate on its value. I\’m sorry that I do not have a picture of it to send you. I\’m not computer savvy enough to do that yet. Thanks!
Answer: The 1361 is from about 1949, and the glaze is matte green. Value is 35.00. If you can, give us a description of the vase, as Red Wing reused numbers over the years, making it difficult to give an accurate answer. good luck with the pics!! thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 1165
Question:
My mother just gave me a vase that was my Dad’s mothers vase. My Dad states he remembers this vase as far back as his memories go. The vase is 8 inches in height. The sides look like ribbons that come up and makes 2 ribbon loops for the handles. The design in the vase looks like scrolled leaves. It is ivory in color with a brushed red. The bottom of the piece clearly shows Red-Wing with the # 1165. Can you tell me anything about this piece such as how old, the value, history about this piece. I am unable to upload a picture if needed I will have my daughter upload. Joan
Answer: Joan, your vase dates from around 1942, and the glaze is antiqued ivory. Thanks for the great description. No special history, no special line it belonged to, just a nice shape. Value is around 45.00 in good condition. thanks, steve n rose
Umbrella Stand
Question:
I purchased an umbrella stand recently. There is no name on the bottom, but it looks exactly like Red Wing Pottery brushed ware, with beautiful art nouveau type flowers. I was wondering about its value? Thanks for your help – Joanne
Answer: Joanne, Red Wing did make an umbrella stand in the brushware line, with panels full of flowers, #104. Without a pic or a mark, I can’t say it’s positively Red Wing. RRP, out of Ohio made the same mold as well. Value at a minimum is around 175.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
