Question:
I have some pieces of Red Wing dishes. Are they worth anything? I have had pictures taken of the items I have, would appreciate any help you could give me. If they would be worth something to someone, I am willing to sell them. Thank you Ivan

Answer: Ivan, the pattern of the divided vegetable dish shown in your photo is Driftwood. It was produced from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s.

The answer to the question you’ve posed: Yes, your Driftwood dishes are worth something. From my experience Driftwood is not among the more popular Red Wing patterns, but there are collectors of this pattern who seek pieces missing from their set. Common pieces such as plates and bowls won’t attract as much interest as the more difficult to find items such as teapots and soup tureens. Condition is very important; even slight damage reduces the value significantly. In excellent condition, the value of your divided vegetable dish is in the range of $20 to $25.
