Red Wing Vase 1348

While sorting through my mother’s things in preparation to close her house we found a vase that is 12 in. by 7.5 in. by 2 in. in a coral/brick color with a off white interior. The lip of the vase curls inward and is scalloped(?). On the bottom are the markings Redwing USA 1348 Can you tell me anything about this piece? Thank you, Tamara
Answer: helloTamara, think this is a console bowl, from around 1950. Coral would be the glaze, and it has a vlaue of around 20.00. thanks, steve n rose
50 Gallon Self Draining Crock

I have a red wing 50 gallon self draining crock that sits in its own cast iron stand and is shaped like a funnel on the botton. It is in mint condition and has the large 50 on the front. My mother-in-law has a 40 gallon Birch leaf red wing crock she will be selling at an auction in a couple weeks. We have not been able to find the value of this crock in the Red Wing price guide book. Brushware Vase with pussywillows

My husband received a red wing pottery vase it seems to have pussywillows on the front and a green glaze on the inside of the vase. It is stamped in blue in a circular stamp on the bottom of the vase with red wing union stoneware co. red wing minn. Any idea of its worth? Thank you for your help! Kerry McCue
Answer: Hi Kerry, I think you have a "cat tail" vase, from around 1930. Part of Red Wing’s early art pottery called Brushware. Value is around $100.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
