1406b Vase
Question:
I have a dish that says Red Wing USA on the back with a number either b or 8 1406. It is glazed with a gray on the outside and a peach color on the inside. It is about a foot long by about 8 inches wide. It is about 2 inches deep. The 8 inch sides have kind of a scallop edge, where 3 scallops are going in. It looks almost like the Red Wing is carved in the pottery.
Answer: This bowl would be the B1406, from around 1951. Luster Grey is the glaze. It was designed by Belle Kogan, hence the "B". Value is around 20.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

B1712
Question:
Hello, I found this Red Wing piece and haven’t found anything about it online. It’s about 5.5 inches wide and 7 inches tall. It’s stamped "RED WING / USA / B1712" I’d like to know what you can tell me about it. Does the "B" in the model number have a particular significance, i.e. some sort of series? Thank you. -Genevieve
Answer: Genevieve, this piece is actually B1412, a design by Belle Kogan, hence the "B". Circa 1942. no particular line that it belongs to, but there are a few similar shaped ones. Value is around 20.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
