Question:
Larry, I was the one who just wrote last week inquiring about my chef pierre. It was the teal colored one. You replied back and considered it fleck blue nile. Question…. Where there different shades of the fleck blue nile? I was looking thru some Red Wing books with pottery that had the fleck blue nile and they look different, alot more blue. I was just wondering if it came in different shades? I attached a picture again so you can remember the original question. Thanks for your time again. :) Debby

Red Wing 1200, stylized bulb shape bottom
Question:
Hello: I recently saw what I think is a Redwing vase from the 1940′s. It’s approximately 15" high, is light blue in color. It is a stylized bulb shape (the bottom is rounded but the top is cylindrical). Half of the vase is covered in little asterisks/stars. It is at a local junk shop, and I am considering purchasing it. I want to do some research…any suggestions on Red Wing lines to google search? Thank you, Christian
Answer: Christian
There is a shape #1200, which matches the height and shape of your description. Think there are 3 different sizes of this form. It does date to around 1943. Check the bottom, there should be a number on it. Value is around 100.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
