Question:
We have a Magnolia serving dish that has developed a small crack in the bottom on the inside. It does not show through on the bottom. Is there anything we can do to keep it from growing and can it be repaired easily? We recently purchased it on eBay and the crack did not show until now. The serving dish came from near Minneapolis and now resided in Las Cruces, New Mexico. (really different climate) Thank you and see you in July in Red Wing at the convention. Harley
Answer: Hi Harley
It could be repaired, but then you wouldn’t be able to use it. excessive heat could make the crack larger, (expansion). I doubt it will "grow" any larger than it already is. Maybe some epoxy could be used to fill the crack, but I’m not a repair expert. thanks, steve n rose

I have a twelve gallon crock with what looks to be a handwritten leaf and the number 12 on it. The inside looks like its black with some brown it. It does have a hairline crack that starts at the top and goes half way down the crock through the writing and stops right after the leaf. Could the crack be fixed, if so, what would the cost be? What is the value with the crack? Jay
My Sister bought this and was wondering the value, Debbie
