Question:
I have a complete 8 place setting of the Lexington Rose dinnerware pattern. It includes: sugar and creamer, 2 serving bowls, large platter, gravy boat. All of the pieces are in excellent condition. The interior of the cups show some crazing and mild staining. Can you give me some idea of the value. We have moved into a townhouse and I do not have room to store them. Thank you, Ken Bauman

Answer: The official name of this pattern is simply Lexington. It is one of many patterns made in the Concord shape. Lexington was introduced in 1941 and was made until 1955.

Lexington was a popular pattern in its day. Because it sold well and for a long period there is a lot of it available today. The supply appears to be greater than the demand and thus values for most Lexington items are relatively low.
Platter: $20-25
Dinner Plate: $10-15
Bread & Butter or Salad Plate: $5-10
Cup & Saucer: $5-10

Creamer & Sugar: $20-25

Gravy boat: $15-20
Vegetable bowl: $15-20

All values assume excellent condition. Any damage such as chips, cracks, hairlines, or stains will reduce the value.
