Golden Viking- color varation

Question:
I spoke to a very helpful lady from Red Wing Collectors this evening who instructed me to provide this picture of the Red Wing plates I recently acquired. I believe the pattern is Golden Viking, but the coloration may indicate a varaition or possible "lunch hour" plate. I have a 40+ set of plates, bowls, etc and among the set their is some pretty distinct variation between green/yellow/gold colors.

Chip Dip
Creamer
3 serving bowls large to small:
8 dinner plates
8 salad plates
6 nappy
7 saucers, no cups
9 cereal bowl
12-14 in platter
6 – 8 platter
8 small plates

Any help with identification, date of production and value would be much appreciated. Thanks! Glenway

Village Green in San Francisco

Question:
I inherited a very large collection of Village Green dinnerware that was originally purchased in 1955 at Gump’s, a San Francisco luxury store. I am considering selling the entire collection, comprised of 16 dinner plates, about 30 small bread and butter plates, 20 saucers, 11 cereal bowls, and a large assortment of serving pieces, plate covers and miscellany. The odd numbers are a result of the loss of one box of items but there are still plenty of pitchers, beverage servers, casseroles, covered and divided vegetable plates and platters. Would you suggest that I sell the collection as a lot or break it up? This was the gentleman’s "rustic ware" for outdoor parties. From what I hear, they were quite some parties! Thank you Sue

2 gallon Bob White Water Cooler

Question:
I have the opportunity to purchase a red wing water cooler in the bobwhite design. It is approximately 2 gallons and comes with a lid, spigot and base. There is a bobwhite on the front of the cooler and the base has 4 bobwhites that circle it. It is also marked red wing. It is in prestine condition. I am being offered it for $100.00. My only problem is that I cannot find any information on it. A friend of mine has a book and cannot locate it in his book either. The lady that wants to sell it to me states she bought it about 40 years ago. Is this a legitimate piece? What is the value of it if it is a good piece? Any information is greatly appreciated! Donna

Cookie jar with leaf decoration

Question:
Red Wing USA incised on bottom. Approx 10 " tall with matching lid. Lid knob has flower shape. The cookie jar is oval in shape with what looks like leaves on the surface, they are incised into the body of the stone ware. The glaze is a medium blue with no other colors. It belonged to my mother & I remember seeing it when I was a child. I am in my mid 60′s at this time. Thanks. Joann

Rustic Dinnerware mug, Red Wing?

Question:
I have what I believe is a Village Green Mug but the handle instead of being a loop is more like a vertical rectangle Starting at the top of the mug then dropping down to about 3.5" from the top and then tapering back into the body of the mug. I have seen many pieces over the years and the glazes and colors are characterisrtic. It has a bit of a primitive feel to it but I always thought that was the idea. What have you to say? Jerry
