Question:
I have a small Van Briggle vase that is slightly over 4′ tall. It is two-tone in color with rose on the bottom portion and grey/blue on the leaves. I was able to find out that it is the Rhododendron Leaf pattern and made in the 1960s. On the bottom is the window pane emblem for the 1960′s and the words "Van Briggle – Colo. Spgs. – M". Would you tell me what the "M" stands for and how much the vase is worth? Ben
Answer: Hi Ben
The window pane mark is the Van Briggle trademark, actually 2 conjoined A’s. Sometime the finisher would put an initial on their work. This is a molded piece, if done on the wheel, it will have original, or handcarved, with the throwers initials. These usually sell for around 45.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

I have a Red Wing bowl on pedestal from my mother. I remember it from my childhood so it is at least 40-50 years old. It is blue & purple, speckled in places and has Red Wing USA on the bottom along with the number 169. It has a chip on the underside of the fluted edge. Can you tell me how old this bowl is and its value? Teri
i have an ashtray with 3 fish on it, it says minnesota land of 10,000 lakes, marked Red Wing Potteries and numbered 578, can you please let me know about it? Thank You! Laurie
I am curious about these two planters my grandmother gave me. She visited Red Wing in the early 1950s and purchased them. What would their value be? The white one is marked 431 and the brown one B1391
Thanks for setting me straight on the bird bath. The out-stretched wing of the bird, along the base, looks to me, some kind of Red Wing Symbolism. Turns out, I’ve been wrong for many years. I’ve come accross several of these bird baths, in the St. Croix River Valley area, however, the tops were either missing or broken. Now I know, Thanks
