Question:
I have a small Van Briggle vase that is slightly over 4′ tall. It is two-tone in color with rose on the bottom portion and grey/blue on the leaves. I was able to find out that it is the Rhododendron Leaf pattern and made in the 1960s. On the bottom is the window pane emblem for the 1960′s and the words "Van Briggle – Colo. Spgs. – M". Would you tell me what the "M" stands for and how much the vase is worth? Ben

Answer: Hi Ben

The window pane mark is the Van Briggle trademark, actually 2 conjoined A’s. Sometime the finisher would put an initial on their work. This is a molded piece, if done on the wheel, it will have original, or handcarved, with the throwers initials. These usually sell for around 45.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
