Answer: Ray, the blue sponging was most likely caused by the running of the glaze or cobalt. If the sponging is in one area, it will most likely take away from the value of your piece. Two gallon Red Wing crocks would have a value in the range of $40 to $60. With the sponging, your value would fall on the lower end. Al Kohlman
