I have a blue vase marked redwing 721 that i got from my grandmother. It has two handles, measures 7" from top of handles or 6" from top of rim. I can’t find any information on it, from looking at your site i think it is from the Grecian line and from circa 1938? Thanks for your help, Leisa

Question:
I have this vase marked on the base RED WING U.S.A 416-9". It is creamy white in color with the inside a light green. 9 inches tall and 8 inches wide at the top. I has five openings for flowers. Not perfect with some chips on the side of the base and one on the lip of one of the compartments. What Have I got here? I use it to display roses from my garden. I am more interested in the age and name of this design than value but would still appreciate a estimated value with the chips. Thanks in advance. Fred

Vase, marked RED WING USA, 87?07, Ivory outside, Greenish inside, 5 1/4" high, 5" square, 7 leaves of graduated sizes on 2 sides, handle W/leaves other 2 sides. Has 1/2" X 1/2" chip on top outer rim. Question:
Hello there I have a large planter with the grape cluster/oak leaf pattern. Labeled "Red Wing USA 310" It stands approximately 10" high and is 12" wide at the top. It is a glossy tanish/very light brown in color… It also has the initials "AM" under the glaze…was there a specific artist or potter with those initials. It is in decent shape with a small bite here and there, no cracks or major chips. I do not know much about RW items and I am learning as I go. I have never seen any initials on the bottom of any RW piece. I know it must be hard to determine value without a picture…but I am most interested in the initials and why they would be there. No pic necessary, your piece is from 1966, a year before Red Wing closed it”s doors. I’m not familiar with who "AM" would be. sometime the employees did put an inital on them, or to someone they knew. It could also be an aftermarket or hobby shop item, done after Red Wing closed. some of the molds were used by hobby shops after the factory closed. A lot of those pieces do carry initials. The original glaze color is an ivory background with a dark brown glaze "wiped" in to highlight the detail. that would tell if it was done at Red Wing or later on. Value is around 45.00. condition is everything, the dings will hurt it’s value. thanks, steve n rose

I have a double candleholder with RW stamped on the bottom. The two candleholders are connected by a three slotted decorative attachment. The color is reddish brown. My husband’s great aunt owned this for years. Do you know anything about this piece? Any idea of the value? The piece is in excellent condition. Thank you for your help.

Question:
I have 3 red wing vases that belonged to my Mom. They stand about 10 inched high, the makings on the bottom are "Red wing USA 220" and two matching vases marked "Red wing USA 1198". The 220 was given to my Mom and Dad as a wedding present in 1944, the other two I do not know of any history. What do I have? They are all three in very good condition,almost perfect, no chips cracks or crackling. The inside of the two 1198′s are aqua inside and I can see some of that crackling on the inside bottom. The 1198′s are from 1943-44, they came in a few different sizes, this being the smallest. They have a value of around 65.00 each. Check the other vase, the numbers aren’t matching anything I have. the 220 is a ewer with a dragon’s head for the handle. Question:
We are trying to determine whether a lamp that belonged to my wife’s mother is a Red Wing or not. The ceramic part of the lamp is about 20" tall, and the only markings on the lamp can be seen in the attached picture. The electrical portion of the lamp still mostly works but does tend to short out. The pottery portion is in very good condition (no chips or marks that I can see). Question:
Thanks for taking time with my question, and this is a fabulous site! I recently found this bowl, or maybe a planter, at a yard sale. Only marked USA and 134, measures 7 1/2" long and 4" across middle (widest) point. Has some 3 petal flowers on sides, maybe freesia(?). In very excellent condition, has a clay fleabite and bottom inside has a hump, all under glaze. Any ideas on maker, though it does seem like it could be Red Wing, and of course I am curious about value as well.
