10 and 5 gallon Red Wing crocks
Question:
My parents have two Red Wing "tubs". One has a 10 and the other had a 5 on it. There is one wing on each that is brownish/red. It also says Red Wing Union Stonewear. The handles are metal and wood on one and rope on the other. They are my parent’s so I do not have a picture but can get one the next time I go home which is next weekend. If you have any information for me that would be great! Thanks, Janice

4 & 5 Red Wing Crocks and Red Wing dish 432
Question:
I have three pc’s that I would like to know the value of! I have a big crock with the #4 a red wing under it and a round symbol with writing and a # 5(its smaller) that fit’s in side of the # 4 . At the time I am using them as waste basket’s in my country style decor!
I recvd them from grama, don’t know but think it had a smaller one also! Next I think this may be a good pc. it’s a yellow glazed oblong dish ( I put my mail in) the texture kinda looks like brick on the sides! on the bottom it says red wing u.s.a. 432 . Thank you so much! I just went to the museum in Stillwater for the 1st time, found this all very interesting! Julie
Art Ware Answer: Hi Julie
The 432 is from 1955, kind of a window box planter. Value on it is around 30.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
1 gallon crock and gallons made – new collector
Question:
I just started collecting Red wing crocks last summer. I want to eventually have one of every open crock they made. I can’t find a 1 gallon with a Red wing on it, are they rare? Also, I’m beginning to think they never made a 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17 18, 19. I have the rest already. Please let me know if I’m complete as far as 1-20… Thank you. Dave

Minnesota Stoneware one gallon crock, bottom marked
Question:
I recently purchased this 1 gal. crock from a local antique shop for $25. (The darker glaze appeals to me.) I was surprised to see the logo, "Minnesota Stoneware Co. Red Wing Minn." on the bottom. Through online research, I learned that Red Wing Union and Minnesota Stoneware companies merged, possibly in 1906. To my untrained eye, the crock is in good condition: normal wear-and-tear, but no major/structural faults. Are you able to tell me more about this crock? Did I pay a fair price (I feel that perhaps I underpaid)? Thank you.
