20 gallon 1909 red wing crock

Question:
I found a 20 gallon red wing crock in mint condition, no chips or cracks. However, there was a stamp that stated patened december 17, 1909 in an oval in blue ink on the side of the crock by the handles. Does this mean that this is a reproduction, or newer crock vs an old crock?

Hello, I recently was lucky and being at thr right time and place was able to purchase the 1st commertive(yes 1977) With the option of buying 1978. Can you please tell me a value or even a ballpark figure. For these 2. I am only missing 4 after that 1980 ( I think its a bowl), the redwing ashtray one(mine broke) last years, and 2004. Any help would be appreciated p.s, I did also join the collectors society made it by 1 day before i would have missed the deadline for the upcoming commertive.

umbrella stand

Question:
I have an opportunity to buy a Lobby Jar/Umbrella Stand in "Redwing Potters and Their Wares 2nd Edition Book by Gary and Bonnie Tefft, Page 159, Figure 69— Deer — 12" diameter — 15" high. Could you give me a fair estimated value on this piece? Thank you, Cynthia Hall

Answer: HI, the deer/doe sand or lobby jar will sell for around 4-500 if it’s marked. Other companies made it as well. No mark will cut the value in half. Thanks, steve n rose

Blue Boy

Question:
Hi, when I was younger I broke a statue of a blue boy at my grandmas. She is a huge red wing collector and that was one of her favorite items. do you know what exactly it was that I broke, how much they cost and where I could get a new one. Thank You so much Aimee

Answer: Aimee It depends on which "blue boy" you are talking about. There was a remake done a few years ago, quite tall, around 15" or so. Some of them are still around, can be found on ebay or at RWCS convention. There are about a dozen earlier ones, very rare, and done by hand. They are around 8" in height. Very rare, they command around 8-10,000. Hope it wasn’t the latter. Hope this helps, thanks, steve n rose
