Question:

I found an old crock in my folks basement. It says MINNESOTA STONEWARE CO. RED WING, MINN on the bottom. It is a light brown, 8 1/2 in H x 7 3/4 in in diameter. It is not perfectly round at the top. There is no decoration on it & has a 3/4 in lip at the top & is dark brown inside. I took pictures to send you but can\’t figure out how to do it. I\’ll ask a neighbor and try again later. Thank you Kathy

King of Tarts Cookie Jar

Question:
I would like to get an estimated value on my King of Hearts cookie jar. Before I listed it on ebay, an antique dealer said I should not settle for less than $900.00. But I have relisted it again and still wonder if he was wrong and I have set too high a price on it.

Jug with Welz Mangler Co. Advertising

Question:
Hello, I have what I believe is a Red Wing jug that was given to me by a relative to sell for him. I know nothing about Red Wing, so I wanted to find out as much information as possible to create an accurate listing of the jug. This jug measures about 12" high, and is a little over 9" in diameter on the bottom. There is advertising on the side for Welz Mangler Co, of St. Paul Minn, which was a fine whiskey company. I see no other markings on the jug to verify that it is a Red Wing piece, but I believe that it is. To me, the condition looks wonderful. There is a very small chip in the glaze on the top portion of the jug. There is a handle on the jug, which can’t really be seen in the photo I’m sending, but if you would like additional photos, I would be happy to send them. Any information you could give me; age, value, scarcity, etc., would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
