I would like to get an estimated value on my King of Hearts cookie jar. Before I listed it on ebay, an antique dealer said I should not settle for less than $900.00. But I have relisted it again and still wonder if he was wrong and I have set too high a price on it.

Answer:
While the King of Tarts cookie jar is very desirable, $900 would be on the high end for the value of this cookie jar. A collector might be willing to pay this price for an exceptional example, but most of the sales I’ve seen for the King of Tarts in excellent condition have been in the range of $500 to $700.
