Question:
Hi, Hi, I was wondering if there is a such a thing as a daisy crock? I has daisy decoration with a tail like a lilly on it? I have attached a picture. Could you please let me know if this is Red wing and what the value is? Thank you Amy
Answer: Amy, your 15 gallon (I will call Lily) crock was manufactured by the North Star Stoneware Company. There are not to many of these primitive lilies around and they can fetch a fair amount of cash depending on how clean the piece is of any damage. Value on your piece depending on damage could range from $2000 to $5000. Again all depends on condition, and how bad a collector wants it. If you list it on Ebay, take quite a few photos (nice, clear and close ups of the lily and any damage) and the collectors will take it from there. Us salt glaze collectors love these unusual pieces and you definitely have one. Al Kohlman
