Question:
I have a huge red wing stoneware crock…fattened dec. 1915…19" diameter, 20.5" tall. It was damaged in moving last year….four chunks…one with handle in tact. is it worth repairing, all pieces are complete….or will there be no value in a repaired crock? What works best in binding the pieces together again?
MORE INFO: Sorry for the lack of info…now after exploring your site….I’m a bit more knowledgable : ) It’s a Red Wing….20 gallon with bail handles….wire and wood in tact. The wing on the side is medium in size….compared to the latest entry on your site…the one in pristine condition. Can’t re-coup any money from moving damage….we did it ourselves! so sad
Just curious…what works best for repairing broken crocks…and if any value would be left for sale in a yard sale?? Alison

Hello you great experts! It is Sam, the young collector, yet again! This time, my question is about a set of Iris Pattern Concord Dinnerware I purchased at an auction. The pieces include: 1 Water Pitcher, BADLY cracked 1 Teapot, base is mint but lid handle has been broken and reglued 1 Sugar Bowl, the handle has been broken off 1 Divided Relish Dish, mint 3 Small Bowls (pic attatched- what are these?), each one has a small flaw 5 Small Bread And Butter? Plates, 3 have staining 2 Large Dinner Plates (each have VERY small ammounts of staining) 4 Cup And Saucer Sets, each of these are mint 3 Extra Saucers, all are mint Could you please give me a guestimate of the value? I love your site. Look forward to seeing you expert peoples at the Convention! Thanks Again, Sam
We found this yellow Iris pattern pitcher while cleaning out my Grandma’s pantry. It measures 7" tall. It is signed on the bottom, Red Wing USA. Unfortunately, it has 2 cracks on each side of the pitcher. They are hairline but do go through to the inside. Could you tell me if the value of this picher, if any? Thank you so much for this wonderful website! Laurie
This appears to be a sort of chaffing dish. Says Red Wing USA in the bottom of the pot. Within stand has two pieces of ceramic comprising the unit that will hold candle or sterno. Bought at a yard sale- its in very good shape. I haven’t been able to find a similar piece searching as of yet. Just curious as to its rarity or value before I decide what i should do with it. Thanks for your time.
I have three stoneware pieces and would like to know if they are antique and what their value might be. The first one is very large it has been used for pickling, the other is a whiskey bottle, both are in great shape with no visiable flaws. The last one is about the same size as the whiskey bottle, but is a crock with no writing on it at all.
Hi again, I have this 10 gal Red Wing. No chips, cracks or spider lines. Original bail wires and wood handles are still there. It has a 6" wing. I believe that it would have been produced between 1915 and 1920. Can you give me a value for it? thank you, Jennifer
Hi, I have a 10 gal birch leaf crock. The 2 7/8" oval shows "RED WING" not "UNION" as most of those that I have seen with the birch leaves on them. I know that MN stoneware and Red Wing merged in 1906 and the birch leaf pattern was dropped. There are no visible cracks, chips or spider lines. Can you tell me when you think this was produced? And its value? Do you think this was one produced about the time of the merger that would cause it to have one marking from each company? Thank you for your help! Jennifer
This is the same Red Wing USA 1303 vase or bowl. This is a pic of the only small chips.
This vase says Red Wing USA 1303 on the bottom and has two small chips on the lip. I will send two pics one of the whole vase and one of the very small chips. I would like to know the approximate value – it has a bronzish brown interior
This Vase says Red Wing USA 1281 on the bottom and has a bronzish brown interior glaze. It’s in perfect condition. I would like to know the approximate price. I am interested in selling it. Thank you!
