You forgot to mention a height, this one came in 4 different sizes, from 4.5 to 13" tall. It dates to the early fourties. Value is around 40.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 1225 Magnolia pattern bowl/plate

I recently bought a Magnolia Bowl/Plate at a garage sale for $2.00; and I was just wondering about age and price. the stamp on the back is light but I believe it say’s Red Wing USA 1225. Thanks for your time Jennifer

It is the Magnolia pattern, from 1946, and 1225 is the correct number. It’s a nice find, the book for around 150.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

2 gallon salt glaze crock, target marked

Question:
I just bought this crock and was trying to find out more about it. It is a no. 2 salt glazed pot that I think is redwing from what I have been able to research. It seems to be in perfect condition. The blue design is like a bullseye with a tail coming down out of it. It is a darker brown than most crocks and does not have any other markings other than the blue 2 and bullseye. The lip is rounded with a circle below it and the glaze is dark brown. There is a clear pattern of glaze running down on the outside and it is of coarse texture. I have several crocks one is a water jug made of stone it has a blue maple leave on one side and another maple leave with a 3 western stoneware Co moumouth Ill on the other side. two strips on top and 2 strips on bottom, a hole for a spout with a cork in it both wire handles, with lid. The lid had a inset handle a flower design around the handle blue stripe about an inch from each other.
no cracks no bumps. What do you think it is worth on the market today?? the stone ware it self is a creame color nice conditon.

Red Wing Bailed Packing Jar

Question:
I have a glazed jar with lid. It has a handle with wire and black wood. Size is 6" high and 6" in diameter. Condition is very good except for an old chip (about 3/8" x 3/8") on upper edge of lid. Bottom is marked with RWSCO. Shape: measiring up 4" from bottom, the jar curves up to a rim on top with the indention for the lid. The lid has a ring 1" from the edge thereafter dipping into the center where the handle crosses from one edge ring to the other and is solid. I do not have a picture available but hope you can help me identify this piece. Thank you for your assistance. Florine

Spongeband pitcher with Scannell Merc. Co. advertising

Question:
Can you tell me what this spongeband pitcher is worth? It is 7 1/2 inches tall with the oval label on the bottom that says made in RED WING. The Advertisement says COMPLEMENTS OF SCANNELL MERC.CO. McGregor, MINN. 1934. There is a small spiderlike crack in the back but it doesn’t go all the way through to the inside of the pitcher. Thanks Sharon

Blue Ribbon Brand, Buckeye Pottery Company crock

I purchased a 5 gallon handled jug that I thought was a Red Wing, but it is a Blue Ribbon Brand with Buckeye Pottery Co. Macomb, IL. written on it. Any idea what it is worth it is in good condition (No cracks or hair line cracks in it). It is 17 1/2 inches high and about 12 inches across. Thanks Sharon
