50 gallon crock with lid

Question:
I would like some info on the 50 gallon Redwing crock with lid. The crock has no cracks except some small spiderweb cracks around the drain hole in bottom. There is also an over flow hole at the top of crock. I don’t know if the hole is orginal or not. The Redwing on the crock is almost faded away. The lid has a hump on the rim. It looks like it was done when made. Any info and estimate of value etc. would be appreciated. Bill

5 gallon standard marking clarification

Question:
I have a plain jug with a smaller blue number 5 and nothing else on it. It is quite large and I believe the 5 is for 5 gal and it is the normal stoneware color. Is it a Red wing? Gaylene

Additional info:

I sent in a question – not answered as of yet but I forgot to say that the number 5 is below the rim as if the wing and the rest was left off and I have never seen that before- the 5 is also open as if fancier- by that I mean not a solid 5. Thanks for your help

It does have a crack in the lid and a few chips around the outside but nothing major. Just curious about this piece and what its purpose was. If its something collectors would like. Thank you in advance. JK
