Question:
This jug is 7" across the bottom, 8" high, and 6" across the top. It’s in excellent condition, I’m not sure how old it is, or if it’s worth anything to a collector. There is a stamp on the side which is hard to read, but I think it says: Safety Valve May 21, 1886 Tracey

Answer: Tracey, you have a Red Wing 1 gallon Safety Valve Jar. The jar is suppose to have a lid. Without a lid the value would be around $25 to $50 if the bottom is signed "Red Wing". If not, the the value is $20 to $25. Al Kohlman
