Hi, I got this dish from my uncles estate. It measures 14 1/4 inches long and approx. 8 inches at its widest. Any help you can give me as to value, and rarity would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Rod

Oxford Line Bowl 2307

Question:
I’m interested in purchasing an Oxford Line bowl. It is 2307 and is 18" in diameter, rather than the 11" bowl pictured in Ray Reiss’ Book I. The price guide has the 11" bowl priced from $235 – $265 but I know that prices are down. Can you give me any idea what would be a reasonable price to pay for the 18" bowl? It is in excellent condition. Thanks!

You can forget my earlier questions if you want to – I see that you already talked to a seller about the same bowl. BUT, it is from the Oxford Line no a overlay so is the price still $250-300?

Answer: Hello

The 18" size is pretty rare, and I think there is less Oxford glaze than Overlay. I think a higher price would be fair for the Oxford. thanks, steve n rose

Nokomis Glase piece

Question:
There is a piece of pottery on Ebay that is in the Nokomis Glaze that is 8 by 3 inches deep and 3 inches wide. What would be the value of this piece? It is very pretty but I have seen other pieces much more expensive with better shapes and forms. Thank-you for your help-I am new at collecting Red Wing but enjoy every piece. My first pieces were from my mother. Donna

Answer: Hi Donna

I think it’s #218, an oval planter. Nokomis is stil prized by collectors, prices may be down a bit, but still command a good price. This is a more common shape, as you state. Value is around 100-125.00. thanks, steve n rose
