Question:
I have a green vase marked Red Wing Pottery with a indented 188. It is green, 9 1/4 inches tall. Bud vase width. Decorated like a cherry tree? Some crazing, but generally in good shape. Can you tell me more about it? Mark

Answer: Hi Mark

it’s one of earlier shape numbers, from the late 30′s. The crazing is a normal part of this particular glaze, so no harm there. Value is around 75.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

B 2110, Belle Kogan’s Textura line Console Bowl

Question:
This is a piece of Red Wing pottery that I sent to a friend in Redwing Minn. as a Christmas Gift. As you can see it was broken when he received it. I did insure it, but I have to come up with some way to show the value of the piece….I have not a clue what it is worth as far as $$ goes, Im just sick about it, because I thought it was a really unique piece, and it just cant be replaced. I hope you can help me out with a somewhat acurate guesstimation of the value. Thanks! I have more than one picture…I guess I will have to send them seperatly…I don’t see a way to upload more than one! Deb

Answer: Hi Deb

this is B2110, part of belle Kogan’s textura line, circa 1954. there are a set of candle holders that match it. Value is around 45.00 or so. It’s always sad to see a pic like this… there are others out there, hopefully you can find another. thanks, steve n rose
