Red Wing 946

Question:
I also have a vase in green that is glazed on the bottom and has the three dots on the bottom. Redwing and 946 it looks like, but that mold in the book does not look like this one. The vase is 6" tall. Gary

Red Wing 995 green planter, Tera Craft line

I have a green planter with fine vertical ribs and is marked Redwing Made in USA 995. I have found reference to mold #995 as being a 9" planter but no other info. Gary

Charles Muphy, M-1501, Zephyr Pink Fleck art pottery with sticker

This is a piece my mother really cherished and definately wouldn’t let us touch it! I was just wondering if it was rare and what’s it’s worth? Jolene

this piece is from 1956, a Charles Murphy design, #M1501. Not terribly rare, but delicate, and easily broken. the glaze is fleck zephyr pink, and it still has it’s original sticker. Value is around 50.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 1038, M 1522 and M1422

I have three Red Wing items that have the following numbers embossed in the on the bottom. The numbers are 1038; m-1522; and m-1422. Coul you tell me what the pieces are?? Joe

The 1038 is a simple bowl, value around 20.00 or so. The M-1422 is a candleholder, there is a shape # 1421, that fits with it. Made around 1953. Value is about 15.00. The M-1522, which I think is actually 1523, is a ring bowl, same time frame. Value around 20.00 on that one. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 189 green vase

Question:
I have a bottom marked green glazed "189 Red Wing Art Pottery" 5-1/2" vase. No chips or cracks but it does have some crazing. Is there a name for the pattern? I am estimating this dating from the mid to late 1930′s…??? What would the retail value be? Thanks for the help. Jon

you are pretty close, early thirties. The crazing is normal for this glaze. There isn’t a name for the pattern. Value is around 80.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
