Question:
I really thought this vase looked consistent w/ a Red Wing for Rumrill design, but had no luck in either Reiss text. I ruled out Weller, at least w/ the Huxford text. What do you think? No markings, unless completely obscured by the glaze. Measures 5 1/2 tall x 4" wide x 3" deep. Thanks, Kelly
Answer: Hi Kelly
it does have the Look, for sure. Wish I knew, but I don’t know either. not a whole lot of companies did the matt glaze. sorry, wish we could be of more help. thanks, steve n rose

Could this be worth anything? Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. Flower pot Green glazed on the inside too. Leaf prints around the pot. 7 inches tall. We are wondering about the year and worth. We were also wondering what year Red Wing stopped glazing the inside of their pots. Thanks Skye
One more question: We have a double-sided serving dish that is a commemorative piece from the 1965 World Series. The Twins logo is really wonderful. It is in excellent condition. How many of these were made and can you estimate its value? Liz
We have had this jug/vase around for maybe 30-40 years. The photo looks like it’s shiny gold on the green but it really just looks like a brown pottery color. Like the green was put on and rubbed off. The inside is glazed so that’s why I thought perhaps it was for water. The outside is rough. There is no lid. The design on the side appears to be a flower, both sides being almost identical. The stamp is on the bottom. We’re just curious what it is and a possible value. Thanks so much in advance! Thanks Lisa
I would like information about this vase. I have been looking on line but just don’t have the experience to be able to locate something like this. It is pink in color. It is in good conditon, no chips. It does have a couple of very small marks at the neck of the vase as though something has rubbed against it. Nothing other than that. The bottom is marked Redwing, USA, 1090 (I believe that is the number. Charlotte
About the "Monk" or "Lyre" pitcher….I know what the Red Wing made pitchers look like in the Clay Giants and etc. books, but I have one as shown in the jpg and for once I would like to know the origin of this form. I do not believe it is Red Wing but would just like to know for sure. Gale
I have a light blue speckled….hanging planter…I believe. The mark says Red Wing USA M1487. It is approximately 10 inches high. What can you tell me about it? Thank you. Patricia
I asked about this piece a couple weeks ago but can’t find the answer on the "artware answers". Are the latest posted at the begining? I’ll check again. Thanks Virginia
