Red Wing Ball Pitcher #547

Question:
I have a Redwing Ball Pitcher # 547 in pink. I’m trying to find out its value and any information I can about it. I inherited it from a relative who lived in Minnesota all her life. I would appreciate any information you can give me about it. The pitcher has some crazing and the picture of the rim and handle area will show some pit marks and a chip. The bottom has REDWING 547 no logo.

Red wing B1433

Question:
Hi, I’m so happy to find your site! We recently acquired this Red Wing vase. It has two chips on the lip of it, one about 1/2" the other small. On the bottom it says on the bottom of one half: B1433 or 8/433 or 81433, it’s hard for me to tell for sure. The other bottom says Red Wing USA. Can you tell me it’s age and value? Would it be worth sending it to a place like Replacements.com to be repaired or is it better to leave the chips as is? I hope you e-mail back! Thank you, Susan

Answer: Susan this one is from around 1953, designed by Belle Kogan. Travertine is the glaze color. It has a value of around 40-45.00, without the chips. I would leave it as is, getting it repaired would cost that much or more. thanks, steve n rose

20 Gallon Transition crock with double birch leaves

Question:
I purchased a 20 gallon Red Wing crock at a farm sale about 13 to 14 years ago. I don’t know a lot about Red Wing, but I loved this piece. It is in beautiful condition–the interior glaze is the same color as the exterior. The only "damage" is a small(about 1 inch) shallow chip along the interior rim. The birch leaf is bold and bright, as you can see from the picture, as is the "oval" identifying the manufacturer at the bottom. Can you tell me more about this crock and its possible value? Thank you!

4 Gallon Salt Glaze upturned leaf

Question:
I have a very nice 4 gallon Red Wing crock. I believe that it may be a rare piece as the leaf is incorrectly stamped. I am just wondering what the value is. There are a few very tiny flake like chips on the bottom and there is a hair line crack in the front of it. Otherwise there is the #4 and the leaf on the front. Any information would be wonderful.
