Question:
I just picked up a 20 gal. salt glazed primitive butterfly crock at an auction. The wing span on the butterfly is 9.75" @ the flower bulb is 3.25" wide. Condition: 2 glaze pops on the inside and one on the outside, one chip under the right handle 1/2 of a quarter dollar in size, and a few small flakes of blue off the center of the butterfly. It is not marked but looks nice. Please let me know apprx. value. Thank you – Mark
Answer: You have a salt glaze 20 gallon North Star Butterfly crock. Value in the condition you described would be between $900 & $1200. Al Kohlman
