4 gallon crock
Question:
Hi there I have a 4 gallon Red Wing Crock 12 " high and 12" across, with what I would class as minor superficial damage- two chips to the bottom edge and two firing cracks on the bottom inside. Also there is a fine crack down one side about 4" long which can be seen both inside and outside. I am attaching pictures and would appreciate some idea of its value. Thank you. Liz Bowers
P.C. Murray Jugs, Dubuque, IA
Question:
I own 2 P.C. Murray Jugs from Dubuque Iowa. The first jug is 1 gallon, with a crisp blue stencilling, mint. This is the same jug Larry has pictured in his book. My jug is not signed. The second jug is a pint size, I believe. It is in mint condition. Its advertising is stamped on. The bottom of the jug is signed Red Wing Stoneware. What is the value of my 2 jugs? My computer is getting fixed, I may be able to email a photo maybe next week when I get the computer back. If I could get pictures, can I email them to you prior to posting your responce? Thanks, Tom

3 gallon Red Wing Water Cooler
Question:
We have a #3 Red Wing water cooler that is in perfect condition except for a small chip on inside of lid. It was inherited from mother of my husband who used it in her schoolroom when she was a teacher in the 1930′s. Would you have any idea what it might be worth. I do not have a picture at this time but can get one if you need it.

8 inch salt glazed North Star lid
Question:
For Al Kohlman. I am the person who asked for information on an 8" salt-glazed cover that I think is North Star. I would like to mail you a photo of it along with a copy of page 20 of David Newkirk’s book "A Guide to Red Wing Markings" which shows a shard that is identical to the top of my cover. What address can I use to mail this to you? Thanks, Dayton

3 gallon brich leaf churn
Question:
I bought this #3 birch leaf churn recently. It has its original lid and dasher. There are no chips or cracks on the churn or on the lid. There is a small area on the left side of the Union oval that the glazing has been scraped off. The size of the churn is 13 1/4" tall and 9 1/4" wide at the top rim. How old is this churn? What would be the approximate value? It also came with an old wood lid, that I was told was used when they churned butter. The top of the wood lid is bowl shaped. Thank you, Bob
