Question:
Hi, I have a 25 Red Wing Crock with a maple leaf and an oval stamp that has Union Stoneware Co. the crock is in good condition. I can’t find any cracks or chips. It also has a round piece of wood that is the top, but it is broken in half. (I have both halves) I am curious as to the value, and a good sales outlet, i.e. eBay, or your classified, etc… Thank you very much for your time

6 gallon red wing crock and wax sealer
Question:
Dear Al, I want to thank you for your expertise and help. I happened across a 6 Gal redwing crock and would appreciate any information you might have on it including probable value. It’s measurements are:15" Tall, Inside dia: 10 1/2", Outside dia:12 1/2". It does have a hairline crack about 3 inches long beginning at the lip and running down. I’m not sure on the other one, it is not marked and is just shy of holding 2 Gal, I was told it could be a redwing wax sealer, but it is almost a gallon larger than any I’ve seen or heard of. The measurements are:10 1/2" Tall, Lip dia: 4 5/8", Base dia: 8 3/4". Thank you again for your skillful knowledge, Eric.
12 gallon red wing crock
Question:
Hello. I have, what I believe to be, a Red Wing 12 gallon crock and I’d like to know more about it, i.e. age, origins, care, value, is it safe to use today, etc. Stats: – 17 1/4" in diameter at widest point – 16 3/4" in height – wire handles – marked with "12", large red wing, "Red Wing Union Stoneware Co…." – marked under one of the wire handles, only partially legible "PATENTED DEC…..1915" Its overall condition is very good. There are some fissures around the top rim and a few around the base, which appear to be inherent to the piece from its firing. There is also one small chip, about the size of a nickel, at the outer edge of the top. I appreciate your time and expertise! Kind regards, Maria
