BW Salt Glaze Grape on Trellis mug

Question:
Hello! Researching this 9 1/4" BW salt glazed Grape on Trellis or Grape Cluster w/ RicRack, I have seen it attributed to North Star, Star Stoneware, UHL and unknown Red Wing. I have seen it marked with an embossed star and unmarked ~ mine is unmarked. One source said it was circa 1890′s – early 1900′s. Most auctions have it listed at $265/$275. Without a mark can the maker, pattern and date be confirmed? Thanks so much for your time and opinion! Pam

Answer:

It is not Red Wing and it is listed in the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware.  It is called Grape cluster wiht Richrack and books between $200 & $250.  Al Kohlman

There is a little ware on the spout, and 2 hair line cracks which measure less than 1" long. I was wondering if you could give me an idea of when this was made and an approximate value. Thanks Sara
