10 and 5 gallon crocks

Question:
I found two pieces of red wing stoneware at my parents house. A 10 and a 5 gallon (i guess) buckets or crocks? I guess my grandparents used to make sauerkraut in the days. They are in excellent condition dated back to 1915 (according to the Red Wing stamp)on the stoneware. They do not have lids. There cylinder shaped with two handles. The handles are metal and go into a premade hole on each side for carrying the stoneware around. there pretty heavy. Any idea what i’m looking at? Are these collectible items? Thanks Mike

15 gallon Red Wing Crock

Question:
Hi Al, Can you please tell me the approximate year this 15 gallon was made and it’s value? The only damage is a small chip on the handle (see separate picture). Also, the stamping is not center with the handles. They are off to the left a little. Does this affect the value of the crock? Thanks, Chris

10 gallon Target 8 Salt glazed crock

Question:
Hello, I bought a saltglazed 10 gallon jug with what I believe a target 8 design in colbalt blue at a garage sale. The owner only said it belonged to grandmother and knew nothing else about it. It stands about 19 1/2 or 20" inches tall. No cracks or chips, maybe just some tiny flaws in the firing glaze. It is a carmel brown color. It also has a initial "H" stamped (impressed) on the backside. Could this be Redwing? I can send you a picture later if you really need it. Thanks, Pam

7 inc panel spongeware bowls Red Wing Oven Ware

Question:
Hello! I lived in Owatonna, MN for many years and I inherited two 7 inch, ribbed, blue and brown spongware bowls from my Mom. Yes, she told me they were valuable and to be careful with them!

Each bowl has ‘Red Wing Oven Ware’ in blue on the bottom, and I also see a marking, 7 c (??), stamped into the clay of each bowl on the bottom.

I’d appreciate if you can estimate the date these were made and their value and if known. They seem very similiar but have slightly different coloring, finish, etc. – maybe they were made and fired at different times?

Apprciate you help and this is a great site! Best regards, Monica

Red Wing 3 gallon Water Coooler

Question:
I have a Red Wing 3 Gallon Water Cooler. It has a lid, spigott and handles. There is no rust. There are no cracks, chips or hairlines. Nothing to distract. I believe the piece to be in mint or near mint condition. I do not have any pictures at this time but I could take some. For now I would just like to get an approximate value on a high quality crock of this description. I am interested in selling it. Regards, Larry Shink
