4 gallon Elephant Ear Crock

Question:
I heard that the two birch leaf design was made prior to 1909 by Red Wing and these were made for Sears. I have a 4 gal. crock that has the number 4 with a line with 2 leafs that hang down from this line. There is no oval and has handles on the sides. I think these are called elephant ear handles. Am I correct on my answer? What is the value of this crock? Thank you. Tom

Greyline bowl follow up

Question:
This is for Al again. I am the lady with the 12" bowl. Did you look at the design on it? I believe it is suppose to be a band bowl. Not a sponge bowl. That is why I think it is a mistake and perhaps rare. Did a little research on the 12" sponge bowl and it was suppose to be a banded greyline bowl. They made a mistake and sponged it instead. Hope this helps. Let me know if I am wrong. I attached a picture last time. Thank you for your help. Tina

4 gallon lazy 8 crock

Question:
I just purchased a crock at an estate auction. After I won the man I was bidding against me asked if I knew anything about it. I didn’t other than I liked it. He told me it was a Red Wing Crock. I cannot find the mark online so I hope you can help me with age. It is 11 inches tall and the opening is about 10 3/4 inches. The handles are amazing and I love the brown glaze on the inside. The bottom isn’t marked but it’s concave. I heard someone mention that at the auction and they said it wasn’t Red Wing. I love it no matter what, but if I knew it’s history that would be welcomed information. Thank you! Kathryn
