Question:
My husband and I found this beautiful salt-glazed 4-gal. crock recently. Its 12" tall and 10-1/3" across the top – great condition, color and texture. It is not marked, except for the cobalt decorations on front. No cracks, 2 small flakes off the top edge. Inside is gorgeous, with deep cobalt blue over a brown slip glaze. Rings seen inside, some reverse spattering of brown slip glaze inside, too. Can you tell me if its Red Wing or possibly Macomb Pottery? We’ve been told its either one or the other???? Thanks! Carol

I am trying to identify a pattern. I have 2 very large blue plates (not platters). They look like the Ivanhoe, but the pattern is a definite zigzag on the outside rim of the plate. The other plates that I had seen in this collection were the same color as The Reed/Plain. Any idea as to what this pattern may be?
